Honey Pecan Mix

 

6 cups Crispix Cereal

1 cup mini-pretzel twist

1 cup Millican Pecan Halves

1/3 cup margarine

¾ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup honey

1 teaspoon vanilla

Microwave Method:  

Cook margarine, brown sugar and honey in Pyrex bowl, cook 1 ½ minutes.

Mixture should begin to bubble. Stir and continue cooking for 2 minutes.

Put Crispix, pretzels, and pecans in paper sack; pour cooked mixture over

this. Cook in microwave for 1 ½ minutes. Shake bag and cook 1 ½ more

minutes. Pour out into greased pan and allow to cool.

 

Stovetop Method:

Combine margarine, brown sugar and honey on stovetop. When it boils, cook for 5 minutes. Do not stir.

Remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla.

Combine Cripix, pretzels, and Millican Pecans in a 13x9x2 Pyrex Baking Pan, sprayed with Pam.

Pour mixture over dry mix. Bake at 250 degrees for 50 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
